I went to the bathroom and had a little soreness then when doing my thing I stood up and looked into the bowel and geeez bright red blood about a half cup?
This morning about a quarter cup in comode.
I either tore something or hemeroid? or Can C diff cause this ?? on rifampin + minocin usually soft stool sometimes little plug at start.

Iam hoping it goes away soon if not I suppose Ill have to see A butt Dr.

Man this sure is getting crappy pun intended.
And of coarse the lingering fear of the big C

Any Ideas????

Tree [Eek!] , That CAN'T be good! [shake]

I would put in a call to LLMD ASAP on that one. That sounds like an awful lot of blood.

I'm trying to figure out if you were saying this happen two days in a row. It's just the AM & then stops? No diarrhea, just a gush of blood?

If it's bright red blood, it's more likely than not a hemmie or a fissure(a tear).
If it's dark red blood, it's from higher up in the intestinal track, which is cause for concern

If it's only happened once and it's bright red, I would not even be concerned.

I've had bright red blood for yrs and in my case it's a fissure.

Pcp Dr is at a seminar and I am on the phone with LLMDs office about it again nurse originally said check with pcp well cant do that so here i go again.

This is the first time i had this much blood in stool but i have had it before trace amounts and i know that it was hemroid it hurt sore burned then itched and lump.

This time I pushed as usual and it sorta burnt then stool got soft and Bright red blood.

Anyway I talked to llmds office just now while writing and they said I should see a Dr but its my judgement and to go ahead and go off abx's for a few days incase its related to them rifampin&minocin c diff? who knows, Nurse said Its your call but its not good having that much blood I said well I am going off abxs for a few days and kicking up probiotics and eating beans and if its not better after weekend Iam going to hospital.

....Tree if it's a fissure, don't let it go. They will get bigger and the resulting surgery is much more problematic.

OK - How's this for a cheerful thought?

At least you may be drowning some of your ketes in the bowl. [bonk] [Roll Eyes]

I do hope it clears up quickly and is nothing serious. I'll keep you in my prayers. [group hug]

I'm still praying for you, Tree. [group hug]

I really hope it's getting better.
Keep up your fluid intake.
Maybe get some "Smartwater", it has electrolytes.

Tree,

On the off-chance that this could be it: Are you getting methyl B12 shots? Didn't you say that you were?

Maybe you changed pharmacies and it was compounded differently. My methyl B12 shots turned my pee RED. Yup. RED.

I was warned of that, ahead of time or I would have freaked.

Just in case ...

Sounds like you need a colonoscopy. sorry for the troubles Tree..

Lower intestinal bleed, polyps, and internal hemmorroids can all be the cause. I would make an appt as soon as possible for this procedure,

but of course go to the ER if the bleeding worsens or continues!

Oh, gosh Tree!!! If you can live through lyme & company? Colonoscopy is a breeze dear!!!! If you are anywhere near the age of 50, especially when you obvisiously are having issues in the area? lol

Go for a colonoscopy. I just did it in Dec and I can tell you the bad with the good on having one.
Don't expect them to say "oh, my I seen lyme & company in your colon."

Take care, Pam
