search spiritual on youtube and see if you could find some good videos...some may at least give you temporary mind relief
I cried over some of them, and felt good afterward. They say crying is some sort of detox too, right? Posts: 196 | From atlanta/norcross, georgia | Registered: Feb 2007

its not a cure.. but it sure did help me immensely.

There was a lecture about this at the last ILADS meeting in October. I didn't go but I was able to review someone's notes. Basically, antidepressants can be very helpful.

Yeah...ya know, perhaps because our immune systems
aren't so effective against this in the first place, it wouldn't be that
big a tragedy
to reduce the inflammation and make the buggers more

Anyone progress on these meds that they are certain
could be attributed to antimicrobials?
Constantly suffering from pain can't be good for the imune system either. I am taking nortryptyline 25mg, this takes the edge off and I am still able to monitor the pain for progress...but I think I will go to a higher dose.

Current reviews of the research done on antidepressants shows that they are no more effective than a placebo except in those with very severe depression.
The side effects--weight gain, diabetes, suicidal thinking, heart problems, etc., etc., etc., have been either downplayed for years or not mentioned at all in the media.
I'd try B vitamins and B1 first. Any infection and any drug (even antibiotics) burn up the B vitamins and make a person more likely to feel depressed or upset.
Walks help, also, if you're physically up to it, according to research on depression I've seen. Some research shows that even mild exercize works better than pills for depression.
Best,
