AHHHHHH..... My right eye is all red, irritated, watery and this morning when I woke up it was sealed shut with slime and other assorted gunk.

I have this documented candida problem that I'm battling.... but in the past I've often "fallen off the wagon" and eaten bread and other items known to feed candida. The worst results I got in the past were intense itching in private regions, lethargy, brain fog, etc.....

I've been fairly vigilant in the past several weeks in avoiding the "bad" foods. So last night I decided to splurge a little. I ate an English muffin and a donut..... oh they were SOOOO delicious after weeks of chicken and veggies.... and oh yeah more chicken and veggies.

Anyways.... this morning I felt like I was run over by a dump truck.... was REALLY hard to wake up and I slept a long time.... biggest issue though was my right eye. It was as if I had flipped a switch; it went from normal last night to all red, inflamed and sealed shut this morning.

My feeling is that this is directly linked to the Wheat..... because when I've slipped in the past and eaten sugary items (that do not contain wheat) I just got the usual candida symptoms - not this eye issue. It appears that now I'm highly sensitive to wheat and now I'm allergic to it??? In any case, at least I know what to completely avoid during future food relapses. [bonk]

I bought Pamela's baking mix-gluten and wheat free, and made muffins. Her brownie mix is good too...all wheat and gluten free. Helps you stay "on the wagon"

Unfortunately, wheat sucks! [Razz] It's a love/hate relationship!!

I'm currently on a no-grain and no-dairy diet [and no sugar, of course!]

Fun, fun, fun! [shake]

I'm not at all doubting your wheat sensitivity, but the eye symptoms also sound a lot like conjunctivitis (pink eye). We lymies are prone to getting that.

I initially thought pink eye as well (because this happened once about two weeks ago too).... but, this is literally an off and on thing.... I don't eat the bad stuff and it goes away quickly (as it is doing right now).
