Has anyone successfully knocked out babesia using just artemisia? If so, at what dosage?

thanks,

Diana

My LLMD found that artemisia worked best with Mepron (or Malarone) .... they worked better than either one alone.

You might also look into the new Cowden herb Enula .... www.nutramedix.com. I herxed on it the first day I added it to my protocol.

I just started using artemesia recently and am taking 1600mg 2x/day, 5 days on and 5 days off. In addition I'm taking plaquenil 500mg 2x/day. I take Zhang's artemesia from Hepapro.

So far it seems to be helping, as my symptoms have decreased in both frequency and intensity.

Actually, it's so effective that I wish I didn't have to pulse it. I feel like my symptoms start returning on my days off, and it gives me the sense that the babesia are starting to multiply again, but my LLMd says that art can be hard on the liver, so that's why it needs to be pulsed. Overall though, I'm getting better.

I'm on other things for Borrelia and Bart.

Taking artemisinin alone didn't work for me to totally handle Babesia, althought I did experience a great improvement.

Then, I used Cryptolepsis (Recommended by Buhner), then PC-Noni.

I'm now taking a special herbal mix my LLMD uses. It's going pretty well, so far.

Best,

Cass A

I haven't been treated for my Babs yet as I'm still working on Bart BUT my LLMD's plan for babs is the following:

Ramp up to 12 capsules of atemisae a day (taken 3 times a day to keep blood level up PLUS 500mg zith daily).

Hope that helps!

Best,

Could people NOT use "artemisinin" and "artemesia" interchangeably. They are not the same, the former being the active substance the latter the plant. Dosages are very different and should NOT BE CONFUSED.

Artemisinin is not just some herbal supplement you can just take without worrying about dosage. It is VERY POWERFUL. I had my worst babesia herxes with artemisinin with only 200 mg/day. If you're badly infected artemisinin can blow your brains.

Nelly,

Thank you for finally clarifying this question in my head. People interchange both words as if they're the same (and I thought they were until recently).

My LLMD wants me on 12 capsules of artemisae (NOT the other one). He'd like me to ramp up to 4 pills 3X a day. This product is Dr. Zhang.

I would also be taking 500mg Zith daily along with it.

I'm not starting until I finish up the Bart treatment but I was so happy that someone finally voiced that the two are different.

Thanks again,

I think I may have babesia too, though I'm not certain. Would it hurt if I picked up some artemisinin extract from the health store and started taking along with all the other supplements I already take?

I understand that it's supposed to be quite potent though I'd only take the recommended dosage.
