Does anyone feel feverish (hot), but when you check, you actually have no fever?

I am having these "fevers" a few hours a day, usually during the day (at work). None at night or in the morning.

I've been feeling very well for the past 2 years, but I think the lyme (or something else) might be coming back. I've recently had symptoms of urinary tract infection (though no detection of actual bacteria). The doc put me on Cipro and I am having these really really strange symptoms.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the cipro is hitting some infection.

Yes, I often have a feverish feeling with no fever. I get this several times a day since going off babs meds. We think the infection is not gone yet.

Do you know what your normal temp is? Perhaps it is low to begin with and a fever for you might be what most consider to be a normal temp.

I have this on babs meds.

I feel like I have fever....am even warm to the touch...

When I take my temp (ear) it is suprisingly 96.7.

I'm going through something similar now.

The past few days have felt feverish but no fever. Skin feels hot. Felt like my face was flushed, but it's not red. Getting hot flashes too.

The only thing I'm on for babs right now is Enula. This is until the rest of my test results come back next month.

Currently on Doxy and Palanquil.

In my case, was wondering if it could be part of candida die-off symptoms since I've been a really good girl this past week.

Also taking Nystatin for that.

I have the same thing to say as Geneal.

This has been happening to me, especially today. I've felt very hot/warm. My forehead was very warm, but then when I take my temp it's been low - 96.7 - 97.2, etc. My husband also said that my back felt unusually warm to him.

Also, don't forget about adrenal issues, thyroid issues and hormones which can sometimes impact temperature fluctuations.....these can all be tested....

Yes, I get this quite often..........

I will feel like there's no question that I have a fever, but when I take my temp, I don't.

My face will feel as hot as the dickens to the touch. Sometimes, it's not really red, but other times, it's BRIGHT red!

It sometimes goes along with one bright red ear or both ears will be bright red. I'll feel my face and ears THROBBING like they have a fever, too.

What's up with that? If I DO have a fever, it will be very low grade. If I DON'T have a fever, it will be normal or slightly below.

It makes no sense. It drives me nuts! What do y'all think it is when this happens to us?

I too have often felt like I had a fever, esp. when I first started Zithromyicin. About the bladder problem, I have heard that one can have a fungal or yeast problem in the bladder cause symptoms of a UTI. If the Cipro doesn't help with the bladder symptoms you may want to ask your doc if something else is causing it.

Good Luck!

I can relate to all of this: tonight, for instance, I was very hot to the touch, had severe chills, and was sure I had a high fever. It was 96.1. My face looked sunburned, too.

I get red ears, too.

I have a history of Babs.

I have this too, but then the strange thing:
When I feel "know I just cannot have a fever" I check and I do have a fever!
Same with you?

Can relate [Frown]

Would often feel flushed/feverish in the afternoon during 2003-2005 and in FACT I did run a slight fever whenever I checked it! This was well before I had ANY idea what was going on...and long before treatment!

Now, five years later have neuro sx's and a Lyme/Bart dx and my temp in the afternoon is only 96.7 while inside with AC. Can go much higher outside, exerting in Florida sun, which makes my neuropathy just awful [Frown]

I've read that Bartonella CAN cause afternoon fevers, which also sounds like a Babesia sx too?

Just letting you know, this might be common to TBD?

Take Care, MBB3

I have this experience! It has always really disturbed me, because nothing makes you feel infected like feeling hot on your face and neck!

Interesting, seems most people are attributing it to babesia, but I am wondering for me if it is bartonella. I have been getting sore throats, so since that is a bartonella symptom, I am thinking maybe the fever feeling is connected to it. And, I get them in afternoon/evening.

I had this every day when I was treating babs. As soon as I stopped treatment the "fevers" went away. Very odd!

I have this OFTEN. I've found that my baseline

temperature is about 96.7 or so (possibly lower).

Often, when I feel this way, I'll take my

temperature and it'll read low 98's, at which

point I'll know it's a low-grade fever. But

sometimes it will read baseline and I'll have no

fever to speak of. It's hard to tell when I have a

low-grade fever and when I don't simply from

observing my symptoms. I often have facial

flushing that accompany my other symptoms, but

that doesn't indicate whether a fever is present

either. I'm pretty sure I have both babs and bart,

but have only just begun treatment for Bb. I hope

the symptoms abate once I've been in proper

treatment for a while.

Best,

L.
