I can take Doxy and Biaxin at the same time?

Swallow one pill then the other?

Has anyone else done this?

I guess I am just a worry wart and feel like this is just too much to take all at one time.... I am so afraid of getting sick to my stomach......throwing up is sooo not fun!

Are there any other side effects I should expect?

I guess I just need someone else to tell me that they did this too and that they were fine.

I know everyone is different but I just wanted to hear from others.

I know many here take two, three antibiotics at the same time.

Just be SURE to EAT when you take them and with doxy, be sure not to lie down until at least 30min after taking it.

Hope it goes well!! [Smile]

I don't know any reason why not... However, with a caution:

Doxy is pretty hard on the stomach.

To take it successfully (more or less), do it this way:

Eat half a substantial meal. (No dairy.) Stop halfway through your meal. Take your doxy. Then resume, finishing your meal.

DON'T LIE DOWN!! If you feel queasy, sit in a chair till it passes.

Biaxin isn't known for queasy-stomach making in the same way doxy is, so it shouldn't create the same problem.

Be sure and take a probiotic a couple hours away from these meds to replenish your good gut flora. Theralac is a great one.

Good luck!!

Michelle

I took those two, plus some, together at the same time always in the middle of a meal. I also took Prilosec when I was on abx every evening with dinner.

Don't lie down after doxy.

look at what I take. Add plaq to that, and maybe more!!! btw, I let the abx wear off first. every 24 hours I pop a sudden 400mg minocin, then pop 600mg roxy in one dose to shock the lyme. It works. I also use aloe conc to open cysts. And use grapefruit seed ext to bust cysts. This darn bug is smart.

Remember: DON'T take them on an empty stomach!

[puke]

Eat first!! 'Bout half of your meal! Then stop -- take meds -- then finish meal.

DO be prepared for some nausea and herx reactions.

Brew up some ginger tea to settle your stomach.

It does pass.

Hang in there!!

Michelle
