I am experiencing severe adverse side effects from Botox injections I received in my neck/shoulders last month. Is it possible the dr. could have injected a vein or artery, or that there is a blockage/paralyzed whereby the blood cannot flow to the head? I have been dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, like I am going to pass out, especially when I bend over to tie my shoe or put a plug in the wall or to pick up something off the floor. I discovered that the dr. injected me with TWICE the amount of Botox than he should have. I have been very sick. It is so difficult to function. I read where Botox stays in the body for 6 months.
Any help/input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

first: injection of botox is not a brillant idea for a lymie. first it is actually botulism bacteria injected into site. with decreased immune system, you can develop botulism. it also causes paralysis. if he injected near the vagus nerve, the main nerve in the body, you could have many months of problems.
i would suggest going to see a neurologist for evaluation, as a vagus nerve block could cause major problems.

This may be a stupid idea but if you're desperate, why not have your LLMD prescribe cholestyramine? It binds biotoxins to your intestinal tract and excretes them in your stools.
Botox is a biotoxin.
It may help get the botox out of your body faster.
Remember that many people with Lyme have much stronger reactions to medicines and other toxins than healthy people. Our bodies are under stress and really can't handle exposures other people can handle. I had a migraine when I got a spray tan a couple years ago.
