I continue to have intensive carpal tunnel symptoms. I wake up during the nighs many times and my hands are numb. Also during a day a may have occasional numb finger for a few hours.

Can anybody relate to this symptom?

Currently for the last two weeks I have been taking Mepron 4 tsp per day, Septrim DS 3 tablets per day, Artemisinin 300-400 mg per day and Zithromax 500 mg per day.

All other symptoms seems to go away on this treatment EXCEPT carpal tunnel. My doc thinks it is from Babs.

My carpal tunnel is associated with tick bite - it is not a result of intensive typing or other frequent hand movements. It has come to me with all the other symptoms of Lyme disease at the time when I got sick.

Hi Lymen,
Yes I remember carple tunnel very well. It was one of my first symptoms, from the first tick bite.{ I was undx'd for close to 20 yrs.} Then, it was thought to be from repetiton.

I don't know if your treating it. They make hand/wrist braces/splints that offer a little help.

It was recommended by the hand specialist I saw, to sleep in the braces to help relieve some of the symptoms. Mine was alot of tingling and numbness.

They did help. Perhaps you might consider trying them. Most drug stores and walmart have them.

I had it badly in both wrists/hands and ended up having the release done in the right one. And the left one just stopped. Thankfully, I haven't been bothered with it since.

Hopefully, yours will improve soon, with your treatment.

Take Care,
