So...today is my 1 month anniversary of treatment, 500mg of Levaqin and 400mg of Doxy. My stomach is handling everything surprisingly well, and my tendons are fine.

I think I see improvement, leg weakness is better htan it was, fogginess is not as prevalent. However, in week 4, for 3 days, I felt terrible, but today I feel at 88%.

I still question whether or not I have Lymes and Bart since I was clinically diagnosed by Dr. S. I think I'm getting better, but how do I really know? I still feel off at times...

How long does it take for people to feel normal if they have Bart and Lymes? I go and see the LLMD tomorrow for my 1 month follow up.... I guess I could just ask him, but I figured I would throw it out there to all of you.

It depends on alot of things... such as how long you've been ill, genetics, what strains of Lyme you have.

I've been fight this for a while & I don't know if I'm getting better or worse. It's hard to tell.

I don't know if the antibiotics are the answer. I think if you catch it right away - it's a good solution to the problem. If you've been ill for a long time, it may or may not work.

That's why there are some many of us reading & responding to questions on this message board.

Good luck!

Hmmmmm. I wish I had seen improvement that quick. Can I be jealous? [Smile]

If it is not Lyme and bartonella, what do you think it is....

The three bad days sounds like a monthly herx/cycle of bb.

Hugs,

Geneal

Drink Lots of Warn Tea --

Because you are taking Doxi --

Do Not eat ANY Citrus or Cranberries --

Congratulations on both the one month anniversary and feeling so good!

I also think the three days sounds like a herx. Denial is common ... I had it and had a positive WB! From what you've said, it sounds like you have Lyme.

Treatment time varies. I'm up to about 95% of normal when not herxing (70% or less when herxing) and I got to that point after about one year.

At this point, after a year of treatment, I'm still dealing with babesia, but Lyme and bartonella don't cause me much trouble, so you may be fine before you know it!
