I saw a neurologist in New York who examined and told me that I do not have Lyme. He said my Igenex test is a false positive. Instead, he said I have a viral infection from my tick. He also told me that a similar virus is causing serious problems for those infected in Europe. I found an article on it below.

Anyway, I'm not really sure who to believe. My LLMD says it still could be Lyme but the neurologist swears it's viral. He said you just have to stick it out and eventually you'll get better and over the viral infection. Of course, antibiotics won't help.

I have a couple of questions. Has anyone had a simiar experience where it turned out to be viral? Also, does anyone know about any herbs or any antiviral medicaation that may help.

Thanks

While I am still treating for Lyme and babesia,

I had an extremely high titer for CMV come back.

My LLMD considers this a co-infection.

I took valcyte for 6 months.....yet, I still have Lyme symptoms

And am still treating for that.

I would trust my LLMD over any other doctor.

Lyme suppressed my immune system, letting this and other viral infections

Flourish. Maybe want to ask your LLMD to add in some valcyte or other anti-viral med.

Hugs,

Geneal
