My experience with green drinks was very difficult. I started out with recommended dosages and it's was very rough.
Of course at that time more than 5 yrs ago, I was so toxic. The green drink I used was too powerful for me. My body was not detoxing fast enough for the green drinks. It blew up in my face using them at that time.
I tried cutting back amounts of mix, lower doses, every other day, everything I could to tolerate them. I even tried some different brands. They made me detox to quickly for my toxic body.
Maybe that doesn't make sense to some. But it was my experience. I gave up on them after about 3 mths and never tried them again.
Now I may be able to tolerate them today. Today I do many type detox protocols and don't have any problems.
I just wanted to warn you that sometimes the recommended amounts for healthy people is different in those chronically ill. I always start out slowly with new protocols.
I learned the hard way. Not pleasant.

My doctor recommended Pure Synergy.
It has the gag factor too but not as much as some others.

My N.D. suggested NanoGreens but this was before my lyme. I still take it, but guess that just reading the replies, I need to go check the ingredient list now to see if it still fits the bill. Anyone familar with this one?

I like Natural Factors Enriching Greens. Just had some!
It actually tastes okay by itself, but even kind of good mixed with a little juice and some water.
You can buy it online at a good discount, especially if you buy six at a time, which I do. I've forgotten which website, but you can google.
It doesn't give a huge kick, but it boosts my energy enough that I can forget that I was jonzin for a cup of joe.
I have tried lots of different kinds over the years, but I think this one is the big winner.

Little by little, I am looking at all the different Greens that have been suggested. I do appreciate all the helpful info.
Paul, I know apple juice has lots of sugar, however, I do use it whenever I mix a powder, such as the DrNatura colon cleanse I'm currently taking. I have been off abx for several years now and just Rife along with lots of herbs/supplements, but I do watch for too much sugar.
Pam, Good advice about using too powerful a green drink. Thanks.
Lymetoo & lovs, What does the gag factor mean...?

gag factor means it tastes like fish aquarium algae water.
Least that is what I meant by it. And Pure Synergy was one of the better ones that I tasted.

i take greens first. doesn't taste that great, but i'm getting used to it.
I tried a few of these products and the one I found most helpful is Green Vibrance. This contains everything from probiotics to enzymes to antioxidants. It tastes terrible, but I found it to be the most helpful of similar products that I tried.

i'm looking for a new green food too. have used dr. shulze's superfood and a couple of the others, but never just with juice or water. i know i just won't stick to something that doesn't taste good that you have to drink in volume. (i can do "shots" of any nasty tincture, but not drink a whole glass of yuck longterm)
the way i take the greens is to mix it in a yogurt smoothie, with say -- berries, orange, banana, molasses and dumping the greens in, you can barely taste them.
i would definately be interested in an easier, good tasting version, tho.

Unlike another poster above, I love the taste of Greens First. I have it for breakfast every morning, mixed with watered down natural apple juice and Dream Protein, made by the same company as Green's First (Doctor's Nutrition). I have no financial interest in this company.
Both products are amply sweetened with stevia, and together they make a complete breakfast with 20 grams of whey protein.
Apple juice with no added sugar is the lowest on the glycemic index of any juice. If you water it down a bit too, there is not too much harm in it, IMO, especially if you are adding the protein to it as a balance.
