I am at a loss. I am trying to figure out how to afford a LLMD, still trying to find someone local who will treat me until then....
Have been taking doxy 100mg BID for 28 days. Only took a few Biaxin doses. Just can't tolerate it, it made me have stomach pain, nausea, and I just couldn't function feeling like that..... I have to work.
I have truly felt better for the past week but have struggled with what to do next. I know that the doxy is not enough but the NP who gave me the Biaxin hasn't called me back. Left a message 2 days ago.
I am going to call again tomorrow.
Here is the latest. Yesterday afternoon, fatigue set in and last night out of a deep sleep, I woke up and felt nauseated. I expected to vomit but only retched for about 3-5 minutes... I have never done that before in my life!!!!
It hurt my throat, my head, everything. I had a horrible night sweat and have had the chills and a low grade fever today.
It could just be the stomach bug that is going around my office but could it be that the spiro's are telling me something? Like ha ha were still here??
Thanks for any input. I am going to call the NP back tomorrow. I have a feeling the message just didn't get to her. Until then, I have stopped everything just because I feel so bad and to be honest just depressed.
And a little PO'd! I can't believe that cancer patients can get what they need and we can't. I am a nurse and always thought that the medical community tries to help people but I have gotten the biggest slap in the face! For someone who has helped people for the past 14 years...... I am not getting the help I need and it stinks!
I am a mom with 2 kids who lives like alot of other American families- barely paycheck to paycheck. How do some of you survive?
Ok, enough ranting a raving.
Tincup, just in case you read this......my anger about my doctor visit and this whole mess has finally reared it's ugly head!!!
I guess I am going through the stages of grief..... denial ( never really had that one..that was only my ducks!)
Sadness and now anger......
Thanks for listening!

Maybe the biaxin stirred up a little babesia.....
Or it could be the stomach flu...
Sorry you aren't feeling well. It is so hard when you have children.
Sending you positive thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
