Has anyone had scalp issues with Lyme disease? I feel like my scalp is irritated, like my hair hurts. I don't know if its a fungus or what. It comes and goes randomly.

Is it like head pains....like on your scalp.

Feels like you have had your hair in a vise in a specific spot all day long?

Yuppers. I have this. [shake] Comes and goes.

Not sure which infection causes this.

Hugs,

Geneal

I get that too. I was blaming my hair gel/hair spray. Dunno which it is.

YES! I was just doing a search on scalp pain and came up with this thread. I have scalp pain/tenderness that feels like somebody has been pulling on my hair all day in certain spots. I thought at first my ponytail was too tight, but then I took it down and two days later still have this pain! I am not dx with lyme or anything else, I'm waiting on my western blots to come back, but my LLMD says he is confident that I have chronic long term lyme, neuro problems are my classic indicators mostly.
Does anyone know if it is Lyme that causes this scalp pain or is it a co-infection? I'm really really praying for no co-infections.

A resounding yes! I keep thinking that my pony holders are too tight also. But even when I am not wearing them, I still get that tight/pulling sensation.

Also on my scalp are little spots that hurt like the dickens. So painful. No signs of anything there though.

I always thought it was yeast. Now I am not so sure. Read somewhere that Babs gives this symptom and my LLMD agreed.
