Im wondering if anybody has any insight as to whats been causing this weakness in my limbs and joints. It started about a week or so ago and is something ive never really had to this extent.

I would describe it as a weakness but its not really muscle related. I can stilll make strong mucsles. I guess its more like i feel like i have to extert more but its something i experience even when my limbs are still. It usually changes in intensity and moves through my arms. Sometimes it will feel like a weakness in my shoulders, then sometimes it will feel like i weakness below my elbows and so on. I also experience it in both limbs at the same time and in the same places. It gets to the point sometimes where its scary and i feel like my arms are just going to stop working or my knees are going to buckle.

Any body ever feel this before? Any ideas what it could be?

Ive had this type of weakness i think before never for this long at a time or this bad.

Its not really a herx because ive herxed many times before and this happens even when the rest of my body and symptoms arent bad.

The only thing ive gathered from my thinking and others opinions is that ive been doing alot of detoxing and using an infrared sauna a few times a week. So, i could have stirred things up or moved toxins around or just could be too toxic even though i dont feel like it.

Ive been ill for over 3 years and treating for 2 ive never had anything like this for this long.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

Are you taking some minerals and sea salt to replace what you are sweating out in your sauna? Low electrolytes could be part of the problem.

this is exactly what my mom has been describing for years. she always said her legs felt heavy and strange. her joints hurt like she had arthritis.

now she's lost almost total use of her arms and legs.

i wonder if there's some test for the muscle strength or something they could do.

Thanks for the replies. I do take electrolytes after the sauna so i doubt its related to that. Its just a very strange uncomfortable feeling. luckily it varies in intensity throughout the day.

Randi, Im sorry to hear about your mom. Does she have lyme?
