has anyone out there in lyme land taken antibiotics with a ppi (like nexium) for a prolonged period of time? like 2 months???

my stomach is hurting and this may be my only option for a little while?

I took Prilosec for about 4 yrs while going through treatment. I tried to get off of it after I went off abx, but later had to revisit it.

I've now been taking it the past 7 yrs, minus a few months in between.

Been on it 3 months without a break-just make sure you take vitamin B while on it

I asked my LLMD about it for bartonella treatment and he said because of my gut problems that I would be more prone to C. Diff. I decided to forget that idea.

I didn't ask but my guess is that it has something to do with lack of acid in the stomach (due to the use of a ppi) allowing infections to take off AND my gut immunity is 50% of what it should be. We are working on healing it now.
