I am taking Flagyl and have taken zithromax in the recent past in my lyme treatment
I have also taken zithromax in the past for chest and head conjestion.
I have REAL conjestion again and am considering taking some zithromax with my flagyl in combo.
That is a safe combination is it not?
As far as lyme results from zithromax and flagyl are concerned I really have not had any response.

You should never take antibiotics or other drugs without consulting a physician.
Just because you have congestion does not mean that it is from a bacteria that zithromax will kill. If it could be killed by zithromax, if you self medicate you may take too small a dose causing the bacteria to become resistant.
This board does not provide advice from medical professionals. You cannot depend on us for an answer as to whether it is safe to mix medications. You should ask a doctor or pharmacist.
