Anyone know the average (reasonable) cost of IV Rociphen....what it would cost the patient if insurance doesn't cover it?
My doctor told me $100 per day...$3,000/month! That's a shocking high number to me. Is it reasonable?

rocheprin is an outdated drug, there are better ones than that now. But at $3,000 a month that is dirt cheap, when I start treatment I will be spending $2,000 a week on IV abx, detox, heparin,& immune support.

Byron, if she can't afford $3,000 a month, it seems unlikely she could afford $8,000 a month.
Wxrock, you could also try www.pparx.com to see if you could qualify for any free or reduced price meds -- sometimes you can even if you have insurance if your co-pay is too much or if you're uninsured or working but don't make enough. It's worth a try!

A month of Rocephin should cost you about 800 dollars a month with all the supplies.
