I have Lyme, babesia and ehrlichia - right now on rocephin 75 mg IV and Mepron 1 ml a week with arteminisin 100 mg once a week. Right now all I can handle.
I have a lot of breathing pain when herxing on Mepron, but this week it's a lot worse. The pain is primarily under my sternum, it feels like a deep burning in the bronchial area. Also, even when I'm not breathing deeply, the area is very sore and feels inflamed.
Also, I'm having a lot more palpitations (also seems to go along with the herxing).
Just wondering if anyone knows why this is, or if they have experienced this themselves.
Thanks, Susan

I get shortness of breath sometimes when breathing deeply. So sometimes if I try to breath in deeply, it's not possible. Or it is, but it gives me shortness of breath.
I think the palpitations go with herxing. They also go with Babesia.
I have gotten the burning sensation, but only a couple times thankfully.
I also sometimes get Costochondritis. That can cause pain in rib area when breathing deeply or even just while breathing in.

Are you having liver panels done a LOT? And having gall bladder checked?
It's essential to keep these things checked, as well as ingesting mega-probiotics.
I mean mega, like Theralac or something equivalent.
Livers numbers can be OK one week, then go through the roof in a matter of days. You really need to watch it. You should report this pain to your doc so he can get you checked out. Don't be brave!

Gosh!
I'm with the others in that I think should contact your doc. Don't put on a brave front- seek emergency help if it keeps on, OK?

Not everything can be attributed to herxing. Michelle is right. You could be having a gallbladder attack or problems with your liver.
Could be pleurisy. Could be costrochondritis.
Find out!!
