Does anyone have any info on the relation of ANA's and Lyme? My doctor says that my ANA levels were abnormally high along with my RA factor.
Thanks!

You can often see many raised auto immune and antibody responses when having Lyme - You can often see people suddenly develop Thyroid antibodies (TgAB & TPO) ANA etc.
ANA is raised in Lupus although that is normally confirmed via a second DNA ANA test
So personally I had and still have a raised ANA (but negative for lupus) since contracting lyme plus many other raised auto immune responses, I assume its where the immune system is in a continual over drive so it starts making antibodies and auto immune responses to so many things - effectively attacking itself.

I think the term "auto-immunity" is a misnomer. Our immune systems are actually attacking real infections (of the CWD type). The rest of "us" just gets caught in the crossfire.

My ANA recently became elevated. The LLMD that ran the test believed that the immune system was going to the center of the cells and attacking a pathogen.
His theory was that the malarone I was on was killing something. I dunno
