Wanted to make those aware of the recall on Prefilled flushes, Heparin and Saline. They are Baxter brand however part of the solution was producted in China and is found to be comtaminated with Saerratia Marcescens.

It can cause very serious side effects such as blood infections, fever, nausea, vomiting also death.

If you use these to flush your iv lines please immmediately check to be sure they are not on the recall list.Contact your supplier or go on line under heparin recall and they will list the lot numbers involved.

Please post if any of you are involved with this situation. This can be very serious so please take necessary percautions.
