No, don't think so! I've had several....but nothing like that. Just the usual cramping.
Maybe you have other intestinal problems?

Of course not! It should be gentle pressure. Why are you doing colonics? They mes up your GI flora and wash out the good stuff so be careful.

It sounds like I had a bad experience! It was truly one of the most painful things ever!
I do have LOTS of GI issues, but my doc wants me to do them to help detox.
I am going to call his office on Monday to ask him what I should do. I don't know if maybe he wants me to try another place, or if I should stop them.
I'd love to hear others experiences!

No, only mild cramping. Very mild. Were they using body temp water? How long did they work on you? Was your body releasing anything?
I've done about 12 sessions. I've not done any in the last 4 yrs.

Maybe the water went in too fast.

Could you not watch what was coming out? Was she massaging and working on your liver/gall bladder area and GI during the procedure?
Is drinking water a part of your everyday life? Watching your body expel through a clear tube might sound gross, but it is what the body is suppose to do.

That's what I was wondering. They usually have a slow continual water flow going in....not a intermittently.
I think I would find a new practitioner.

I have had several since last fall. Sometimes it is good to have a continual flow, and other times it is good to let water in and then turn the water off and sit for a while to let the "stuff" get soft (usually in the beginning of the session). When it is ready, it will be released. Then you can turn the water back on again.
The last one I had, my insides were hurting a bit more than usual, but I think it is because I had alot to come out (which is why I got the colonic).
Mild cramping is normal, if you are cramping too much, I would slow or stop the water flow, massage your belly and intestines in a circular motion until it can release.
If you have a lot to come out, of course it is going to be a bit traumatic.
On loosing the normal flora - the practioner, should give you probiotics in the water at the end of your treatment. You hold this in as long as you can (usually until you get off the table), and then expel in the restroom afterwards. Take probiotics orally afterwards also.
I would try to keep it up. But, perhaps you need to go slower.
