Nystatin is the one med that has never seemed to give my husband any difficulty. On the contrary, I think it has helped him avoid problems. From our experienc, this is one that you should NOT worry about!

Hi JENNJENN,
I've had no problems with Nystatin. In fact, I love it.
Are you also taking a lot of good quality probiotics?

Very benign stuff. Works only in the gut, doesn't even go through the liver.
TAKE IT!!
If that wasn't you who recently asked this question, do a search here and read other postings about it.
Find the little word above in the center of this page "search" and type in Nystatin.
YES, take high quality probiotics as well...and follow the DIET!!

Nystatin worked wonders for me. I never had any problems with it. I had problems when I didn't take it.

Scared of Nystatin? The stuff has been around for a long time and is very safe. It is not absorbed into your blood, it only goes through the GI system. I used to take it every day for like 3 years to prevent yeast. Good stuff.

And here you have the absolute biggest baby when it comes to taking new meds.
A total freak I am, I am.
But the Nystatin.. no problem.
And just so you know...
Nystatin was discovered by a female researcher/scientist years ago while she was rummaging around in the forest.
She noticed that fugus grew all around but not on/near these certain roots... which is what NYSTATIN is made from.
``````````````````
Fast foward... she named it NY-STAT-IN
"NY- for New York
"STAT"- for State-
And the "IN" for- In NY State where it was discovered.
Yes.. I know I'm a freak to reseach meds so deeply to find that out.. but like I said ..
I am the original BIG BABY when it comes to taking ANY drugs.
