Hi all. I am still struggling with eye inflammation.

My Doc says I need IV but he hasnt exactly tried anything much orally. Doxy makes my eyes throbb so it tells me its hitting home.

Anyone clear up there eye problems with orals or is IV the only way to go for me?? Your thoughts please. [confused]

I suffered from eye pain and sometimes blurry vision...2 months of doxy prescribed by my pcp took care of it before I even saw my LLMD.

I should mention I took 800mg of doxy for those 2 months, I was very desperate with all the symptoms showing up overnight.

My daughter has had fluctuating vision for a while--in fact it was one of the weird symptoms she had before she was diagnosed.

Her optomitrist commented that her eyes looked the best he had ever seen them while she was doing Bicillin injections.

She doesn't complain much about just eye pain, but she does have photo sensitivity also.

I don't have a yes or no answer for you, but Bicillin might help.

Thanks for your replies. I have heard lots of people say doxy cleared up there eye problems.

I have been on it 6 months and its causing herxing but not much relief of eye floaters and irritation. I think bicillin will be my next move if not IV.

Thanks.

Hi NMN,

My eye problems cleared up after taking doxy and mino. I still have some minor stuff, but no more double vision.
Good luck to you.

Hi Beverly.....I think adding something to the doxy might not be a bad idea. Doxy is definitely hitting the mark. What was your dosage?
