Hello, I have not been here for awhile. I am lost

again. I was diagnosed in 2004. I was on every

kind of antibiotic known to man. Every

combination me and my LLMD could think of. Even 6

months on IV. My Gut can not take anymore

antibiotcs. I won't Do IV's anymore. They didn't

help that much anyway. The IM Bicillin shots will

most likely not work due to the fact that I had it

in IV form and that didn't work. I have been on

anti yeast...Detox..Fasting..nothing is helping

anymore. I will say I went about 1 year feeling

85% better. Then everything stopped working. I

guess I need to look at natural ways. My doctor

gave me Lauricidin to try. I have only been on

that about 2 weeks. I am now seeing a pain doctor

and am on Cymbalta, which helps. I just started

taking Zanaflex at night to see if it helps my

pain. I also have Tramadol that I take if I have

to for pain. All of this stuff is just masking my

symptoms. I want to get rid of this not just mask

it. My doctor agrees that this may be permanent.

Can any one give me some direction. Some natural

way to try? I did take a food allergy test and I

am allergic to some things..including cows milk.

Oh Joy..milk is in everything. Sorry this is so

long. I just need some insite... Any suggestions

would be great !!

Thank you

Have you treated co-infections ?

Switching to all the antibiotics is not good.
I spoke to Dr J last week.

He mentioned that if you have an active infection and keep switching to a diferent antibiotic -that the bug that you were treating originaly will mutate and become resistant to that anbtibiotics.

He is treating my son and keep it on the same treatment to get rid of certain bug or..that combo will not work if you come back on that one.

Maybe that is why I am having hard time to get rid of BART as I switched and tried all of them

I should have paid from my pocket when Ins stoped paying for Doxy and I switched to KETEK.I am paying the perice now...as I am back to rifampin and I even tried 1200 mg rifampin for 2 weeks and bart is still there.

Yes 1200mg for 2weeks.Weel I could never take it 1 year ago -but I was able to tolerate it now.

I have posted this on some other threads, but you might not have seen them. Have your vitamin D levels checked.

My daughter has been sick for years and has been in treatment for about 6 years. She was better and got worse from some steroids we didn't know she had gotten. We had to switch doctors and she was started on the protocol that had worked the best for her. She didn't seem to be responding. Her vitamin D was very low.

We have been supplementing slowly and she is responding better. Vitamin D is an immune stimulator among other things.

Also, I think vitamin C just by itself helps an enormous amount.

There is also rife and essential oils.

HI Merrie!! I'm sorry to hear that you are at your wits end with this!!

Go read this on leaky gut .. and especially my last post there.

Food combining has helped my pain issues a lot. It will help heal your leaky gut [you're bound to have one!] and get your health back on track.

It's worth a try!!

Hi Merrie,

Has an LLMD clinically assessed you (beyond any testing) for coinfections? Coinfections are big.

Believe 3,

My lyme developed into arthritis. Initially, I treated holistically with low dose minocycline being my only abx for 1 yr.

Focus was on healing my leaky gut and detoxing my very high level of metals. I improved dramatically.

Then in 5/07, I was bit again and relapsed hard within 48 hrs of the bite. This time, I sought out a well known LLMD rheumatologist. I felt the recent infection needed abx.

Testing was positive for Babs WA-1, H. Pylori (bacteria in the gut). She started me first on H.P. treatment and later increased the doses for Babs. She also added methotrexate and Enbrel for my Rheum. Arthritis symptoms as she did not want herxes to damage my joints.

Through a bizarre set of circumstances which I consider intervention by God, it took a long time for the insurance company to approve and provide the metho and Enbrel. In fact, I never actually took any Enbrel. I did have 3 mths of MTX (methotrexate). Enbrel and MTX are immune suppressors.

30 days of abx for the H. Pylori had me good as new. 7 mths of it apparently began to backfire. Upon exam, the doctor was alarmed to find inflammation in most all my joints. I was shocked as I was still feeling very good.

The inflammation inspite of the fact I was on so much medication and especially the methotrexate which is supposed to stop inflammation in its tracks was so alarming to the doctor, she ordered a Detoxgenome test which is a gene test specific to determining how well I can detox anything.

Turns out, not very well. I have specific problems detoxing antibiotics, molds, cigarette smoke, charbroiled foods, etc. My ability to make Glutathione (real necessary for detoxing) is poor.

She stopped all medications except low dose doxy. (she had switched me from mino to doxy when she first met me)

She said she had been poisoning me with the medications. Even though they helped initially and made me feel much better, eventually, the toxins in them were just building up in my body causing inflammation.

This could be happening to you. Can you find a doctor in your area knowledgeable in toxin removal?

Luvs

I know this dosent sound like a big deal but get a few b12 shots and see what happens it has completly made me feel better the aching for a year and a half is gone!!!
Even the joint pain in shoulders quit!
I still get some pinching in the knees but thats probaly damaged it dosent hurt unless iam on hard surface stuff like cement pavement.
Anyway because of you being on abx's for long you probaly shut down what they call Intrinsic Factor its how your body picks up b12 in your intestines.
Also take some b6 or a good complex b vitamin before the shots.
