For Mom from Texas and all parents

My son's story

It was in the second half of the 7th grade when my son began to get sick he had symptoms from a crazy cough to a pain in the right side. My pediatrican believed him to be faking cause he didnt want to go school because he was very thin and kids were teasing him and the unfortunate thing about that as parents we were beleiving the doctor.

The pain in right turned out to be his appendix being infected although before they took it out they didn't think it was. The specialist that saw my son just didn't think my son was lying so out in came and when we went back in the 6 six weeks the pathology report says it was infected. I am guessing it was the bartoneela of course we didnt know that at the time. I thought ok his appendix is out and that was the problem and now he will be fine not the case.

He returned to school and He starting getting sick with colds every time I would turn around and then the fevers started. The fevers were as high as 107. He was missing so much school I had to take him out and have him home tutored.

The pedicatrician called in an infectious disease doctor and he found the bartonella and for some reason he didnt think he had lyme too and sent me to every doctor in creation. I payed this doctor out of pocket He was not aggresive in his treatment and he would even say things oh its good he not in school with all the germs around.
He put him on iv rocephin which worked until they took it out and then he would relapse.. Our insurance wouldn't cover the iv anymore so I think he would try some antibotics but my son would always relapse.

I was at my wit's end and told my husband about Dr. Jones and we made an appointment. For us Dr Jones treatment was the road to recovery. Unfortunately I can't remember all his medications.

Biaxin with something else very high doses. If he had and infection he would change with something that began with an A very high dose He had a couple of steps bacwards but not the same as with the infectious disease doctor.

This paragraph - anxiety related
My son was sick for a year and half and now it was time to go to high school. The first week he started getting fevers Dr Jone put him back on medicine. He changed from public to private school. He would still get fevers not has high so we talked with the guidiance couselor told us to send him to school armed with advil since he wasn't contagious and things just started to get better no more medicine.

As a Mom everytime he did get sick probably till this very day I still think oh no could it be coming back.

My son was always optimistic that they would find out was wrong with him maybe thats helps a little

The first year of high school was a little tough and I really hating sending him in feeling awful but it worked.

I wish you all success stories I know how awful it his to have your child sick. I felt so awful when the school bus would pass the house and my son couldnt get on it.

I am sorry I couldnt give more details about the medicine.
