I just read that Dr.B says never to take fagyl with the tetracycline's. I am on mino and flagyl.
Isn't mino in the tetracycline family? And if so, does anyone know why this isn't okay?

Haha...no @$$@!!! I feel worse on this combo than before I started treatment. At first I thought it was a herx but I'm going on over a month of this...so I'm beginning to wonder.
Hopefully someone can give us a little more detail as to why NOT to take the tetracyclines with flagyl. I've searched and searched but can't find an explanation....

Hey Christine...welcome! [Smile] While I am questioning mino and flagyl together, I don't question mino! For me it has been very affective, and I do know that yes, it does cross the blood/brain barrier...hence, your eye twitches!
I'm sure that the mino is up there "shakin' things up a bit" and your twitching is probably just a result of that. Hang on tight though! For me it has produced some of my worst herxing yet!

My neighbor did mino and pulsed flagyl for 3 days a week.

She felt like she made excellent progress on it.

I did doxy and flagyl (pulsed) as I can not take mino.

Hugs,

Geneal
