I have a really itchy petechiae right now ... funny, I usually only get one or two at a time.

I had both. Mine seemed to have been disappearing with Levaquin. Since they didn't go away with Mepron or other ABX that Tx Bart, I'm thinking BLO.

Tested positive for Bart, negative for babs but I suspect I have it.

I have these...
I got a positive for Bart but I also have many symptoms of Babs.
Having FISH test done now. *crosses fingers*
I am pretty sure I have both since I've had the reaction I have with Babs treatment.

My LLMD said petechia is Babesia and mine broke out really bad when on mepron/ketek - he said they are an absolutly classic babs sign and its where the babesia breaks out of the bone marrow. I did not show high titres until many months after babs treatment, every test before that was negative.
Bart can show in very different skin signs they are either papules/pustules or linear lines
