I know this is answered somewhere on this site but I am too darn tired and weak right now to look
I started Ceftin 1000 mg/day and Zithromax 500 mg/day about a week ago.
Over the past few days I am experiencing more weakness and muscle/joint aches. Dizziness and fatigue today. Not fun.
Think it's a herx?
I was on tetracycline for 1 month prior to this, no herx at all. My LLMD said that if I did fine with tetra I shouldn't experience anything too severe with any other drugs but I don't know.....
I feel crummy:(

Sure sounds like a classic herx to me!
Hang in there. Get lots of rest and think positively; herxes do pass, though I cannot tell you when.

I take Ceftin and zithromax. Although I take 2 g of Ceftin a day, along with the 500 mg a day of zithro (and mepron). But I started out like you, with just 1 g a day for a couple of weeks and no zith or merpon at that time.
Ceftin will make you feel a lot more tired than usual, but after about 10 days that gets better.
I was told that Ceftin isn't a strong abx, so if your doc is trying to keep you from herxing to death, then it sounds like she/he is doing right for ya!
