I brought my 4 year old son to the pediatrician today and I engaged him in a lyme conversation. He said if you get bitten by a tick carrying lyme you are protected by immunity for up to 5 years.
Can you believe this is what ducks think in a highly lyme epidemic area. Scary to think that one of the other ducks admitted to me that i/3 of the children in their practice are diagnosed with lyme.
Little do they know I know of 2 children who are extemely sick from their practice.( thay only give 2 weeks abx for pos. lyme) God only knows how many more children if that is how many they treat will have serious problems.
This is my mission to WAKE UP WARWICK NEW YORK.
I REFUSE TO BE SICK IN VANE.If I can even help one person I have done my job and accept this where ever it takes me. Teresa

Yes, my moms doctor gave her 4 doxy pills to take every 4 hours in one day for the bullseye rash. The duck then told her that she would be forever immune to lyme disease. My sisters duck tested her 3 times with elsia, no blot, told her theres not any way on earth she could have lyme, rxed her steroids and pain killers for her joint pain and morning bottom of feet pain!!!!!! And mom listended to me took more pills she herxed its over, my sis...thinks I am crazy, as I watch her rot away. Still working on her.

pediatricians (the ones i have met anyway) are in the same category as neuros in my book
if i had listened to the pediatrician when my daughter (at age 7) had erlichiosis..."its a virus...and needs to run its course" meanwhile she cannot eat or drink and could no longer communicate with us.....i know that i would have lost my child.....
i avoid pediatricians.....have a few names of supposedly lyme lit peds ..... i need to interview them before i bring any children there
of course they are both over an hour away....
it makes me so mad how our children are treated

Also if you notice when you start asking questions about lyme and seem to know more than the average person they will start to nrevously fumble around and avoid eye contact with you. I know I have tried this it works everytime. Teresa

the only docs i have met that do not mind being challenged or questioned are the 2 llmds we have met and who have treated our family
if you want to mess with a docs head...just mention lyme d.

Lyme immunity? I've never heard of such a thing.
Ask him where he gets his information from and if he can give you copies of his references.
Should be good for a couple of giggles.

There are a few PCP that are open on this subject . Mine admits he dosent no enough about it to treat it, and thought it was a good idea to find a llmd. Also willing to work with & do testing needed between apps. thankfully as its 3+ hrs to llmd. Doc

I respect a dr. who can admit he does not know enough info on a subject. Unfortunately most ducks can never admit that. God forbid. I think they would rather make up something crazy than admit they are not informed enough on a subject. Teresa
