Wanna contribute? There's only 5 so far, but I expect it's due to traffic.

Please don't reply to this thread; Lou is trying to keep things as orderly as possible on this forum, which is why the thread is in "Activism".

Best wishes,

hi canbrave,

i added comment on there; there are $$ restrictions and when i read the link posted, the fruit basket would have to be EATED WHILE 1 OF US WAS THERE WHO PRESENTED IT TO THEM!!!

I think that applies only to "regulated" donors. We would be considered "non-regulated" donors (page 7 of the code found here:
http://www.ct.gov/ethics/lib/ethics/guides/public_officials_guide_07_final.pdf ) and in this case would not have to be there when he ate it.

Here's a direct link to the thread over in Activism, since I'm here ...

Ack! We seem to have completely stalled over the weekend! I've had nary a peep of a donation since Friday.

We still need $40 to make the goal.

I don't know how Jerry Lewis does it with his telethon . . .

Okay, pretend I don't have my forehead on the desk right now from insomnia as I am typing this next bit: Rah rah! Yay! [woohoo] C'mon people, we can *do* this!! Let's get this fruit basket party started! Yeahhhh!!!! Wahooooo!!!!! Fruit BASket...it's your birthday...whut whut?

Ladies and gentlemen, spirochetes of all ages ...

We have reached our goal of $100, thanks to a final, generous, double donation of $20 from someone (thank you, you know who you are and big hugs!)

Thank you to EVERYONE who donated!!! I haven't received all the payments yet, but I know y'all are good for it so's I'm going to go ahead and order the gift basket.

I've even got confirmation of the right address to send it to.

I'll post again once it's all sent off.

Thank you again everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[kiss] [kiss] [kiss] [kiss] [kiss] [kiss]

Alison
