I'm about to start this combo and from a couple of things I've looked up it seems Plaquenil is for Babesia.
It doesn't seem that my LLMD suspects Babs w/me. Is this a common combo for Lymies w/out Babs as well?

It's the exact combo that put my Mother's Lyme in remission 10 years ago. It works and in fact, is aimed to hit the Lyme so you should be in good shape!

I wonder if you felt good on it b/c plaquenil is supposed to act as an anti-inflammatory as well. That makes me wonder if it gives a false sense of being well. Hmmm....

Well being-- --I don't know about plaq/biaxin and well being.
My husband had the WORST sacral pain on this combo. He was writhing around the floor during Christmas. He had lots of other pain flares too.
I think it can be a powerful combo and in the end my husband felt great on it.
Oh, and 123!, the dosage is usually 400mgs per day with biaxin and my husband took it with Mino too.

Laura, i don't think it was the anti inflammatory effect for me. My symptoms are varied, and joint pain is just one of them.
I had so much energy, I was almost back to my normal self, no brain fog, all of that.

Hi laura j,
I didn't take Biaxin/Plaquneil but I took Zithromax/Plaquenil. I made a lot of progress then added in Malarone for Babesia. When I was on Zithromax/Plaquenil my spine pain went away.
I was on a low dosage 200mg 2-3 times a week.
I hope it works well for you.
Good luck to all..
