Sounds like you did a brief foray into the real world and overexerted yourself. I'm suffering another setback, too, for the same reason.
30 minutes is way too long to be in the sauna if you're sick. Is this a hot tub or dry sauna?
No more than 10 minutes at any time. If you are running a fever, you would especially want to avoid it.
What is Dr. C recommending for you to take during your relapse?
Welcome to the club, sorry to say.
Hugs, CherylSue

If you still deal with a heavy metal issue, doing 30 minutes in any sauna is not a good thing. During a sauna the neurotoxins/heavy metals can easily move into the brain and that should be avoided. Dr. K. is reaching the point where sauna only when you are close to wellness, when detoxing the some of the lifelong accumulations have been dealt with -- then sauna is wonderful.
Be very careful. Most people harbor these kinds of toxins -- because of the world we live in. Anyone with root canals and amalgams in the mouth should be aware of this. It is downright dangerous. After some 30plus of dealing with heavy metal toxicity, he is positive that literally everybody is heavy metal toxic. That's one of the major reasons we get this horrible disease in the first place. Our body goes into overload with another pathogen infection.
I myself did not use the sauna in the early years, but only after I had been on a major detox program for several years. After that the sauna adds great benefits - and right now it is wonderful for me to stay ahead with prevention. In fact, my sauna is warming up just now and I am headed there.
Do be careful -- everthing at the right time!

I remember PMing a while back. Thanks for the opinion on the sauna. Obviously, I would not do 30 minutes now. That's my "healthy" time after a good strong work out.
PM me if you get a chance and let me know how your treatment is going since we share the same LLMD.
He started me back on Amox/Flagyl. I had a big Herx to the Amox. This did not happen last time so it was a bit of a setback. He had me on Doxy/Amox last time and it did the trick. Since, I was on it for 3 months, with the last two months just to make sure since I had ni more symptoms, he felt like Doxy had already done its work in my body.
I will start the clindamycin/qualaquin protocol in about a week alternating every 10 days with biaxin/plaquenil.
His best guess was about 4 months total of abx. this time. He felt we needed to address cysts and the possibility of babesia. Sounds short but I do trust his opinions.
I am definitely not educated on the heavy metal issues. It has never been something that I have or my LLMD addressed. I have one small filling in my mouth. That's it. Hmmm....
