I understand that life could be worse, I see earthquakes devastating , etc.
But, I also see others that appear to float through life with so much good fortune.
I am truly happy for them. But, I question why the difference. I guess it's choices, unawareness and just bum luck.
My daughter had a lesion on her face the size of a quarter. It started as a zit but erupted into this round red infection with a pussy bubble center the size if a bit larger than a dime.
One doc said MIRSA let's test and cut to drain. He said I could go to plastic surgeon if preferred. He referred me to one and I went that day. They had talked on the phone.
The surgeon ended up puncturing it with a needle not cutting and was asking if we had been administerd the IV antibiotic prior to coming over. No one had mentioned that prior to us seing the surgeon. I said no.
He said he would only cut if he saw alot of puss. Alot of thin blood drained out. He wiped the blood and put us on Bactrim and Keflex. Then sent us back to Prompt Care for IV.
Prompt Care said they can't do that there, only in hospital. They gave us antibiotic intramuscular shot and set us on our way after observation. I forget the antibiotic name but common for lyme.
Well, this thing healed but had a little swelling under the skin like a crescent where the liquid was asperated. The tests came back not MRSA. Thought all okay.
She finished antibiotics. About 3 days later swelling set in from crescent to quarter again and surface started to erode.
We went back to Prompt Care and they put her on Omnicef. It doesn't look like it's getting better and were on day 4 of med.
Here's the worry part. She started complaining of not being able to breathe at night when it's bed time. This started in between the two round of antibiotics. So, I know it's not the meds.
I worry about systemic staff infection and of course, the Lyme/Bart past.
She has no other complaints. She seems to breathe okay throughout the rest of the day. She's a swimmer too, and as far as I know, she's getting through practices.
Any thoughts
Much appreciated

Hmm, this is a tough one but somebody should know something so I'll kick it back up. The breathing is a little worrisome, you'd almost think a reaction to the meds but she wasn't on it at the time.
Another allergy ? Bitten by something ?
