Dear Friends,
My hubby is currently on an herbal Babesia treatment ramping up to Mepron/Zith.
However, he also takes a small dose Diflucan daily (and has for years)for another medical condition.
Anyone know of interactions between these that we should watch out for??
Best,
Cass A

There shouldn't be any reactions between the two drugs but I would be worried with having to stay on diflucan any longer than a month....

I just started on mepron/zith and I've been on once a week diflucan to help with yeast issues for the entire time I've been on antibiotics.
Do I need to stop taking it while on zith? And do I need to be worried about being on diflucan for so long?

I don't know about the Mepron but my LLMD has me taking Zith 250mg a day and Diflucan 100mg every three days. I take it right along with the Zith.

Hi. I've been on the mepron/biaxin combo for four months now.
I am also doing the diflucan protocol for Lyme.
I take 200mg of diflucan daily for 60 days. Off two weeks, then repeat.
I am in the middle of my 3rd 60 day run.
So far, so good. No problems with liver enzymes, etc. thus far.
So....It has been fine for me.
I should add that I have a positive history of hepatitis and pancreatitis.
Knock on wood. Liver still kicking away.
Hugs,
Geneal
