I'm wondering about the number of symptom-free days people have.
Are there days every month where you feel totally normal?
Just curious.

Yes!!! Which is a blessing and a curse!
A blessing because I do have days where I feel totally normal and I enjoy them to the fullest.
A curse because many of my family and friends have a hard time understanding how one day I can be normal and the next day sick as a dog.
I do know for the most part when my symptoms are going to flare and I try to prepare as best as possible by catching up on things when I'm feeling well.
That way a few days of lying on the couch and suffering don't make me feel that much worse!

I have a few. Wish I had more.
It's kind of a tease, but I've learned to make the most of them without over doing.

My son is down to being pretty much symptom free, with the exception of feeling a bit tired at times, and night sweats, at all times except the once a month surge.
Unfortunately, we have reached this point before, stayed there for a few months, tried to change meds to break through the plateau,
only to crash, become very symptomatic, then work our way back. (I say we, because when it is a young child, all the sx have a profound impact on the whole family).
So we are cautious/nervous with these asymptomatic phases.
It also makes people think that you are a bit loco when they see your kid looking and acting like a perfectly healthy kid, then you tell them about the vast array of nasty things the child has gone through in the past year.
We are super-anxious now, as babs tx is just around the corner....
But for now we take and enjoy every good moment, hoping that the worst has passed.

I only have days now where for hours I feel better but not normal.
Have not felt normal in years.
I feel like I am coming down with the flu every day.

Yes, I'm also one of the people who does have good days. I wouldn't say I feel completely normal because I'll still have a few symptoms on a good day (like stiffness, etc.) but I still consider them good days because I don't physically feel ill.
Actually, I just got done having a four-week herx and then three days of feeling pretty normal. Now, I'm not feeling so good again.
Like someone else said, on the good days, I try to enjoy them every single minute.

I used to have good days maybee 5 years after I got sick.
After my last MAJOR depression that lasted 6 months to a year of crying every day and not knowing whats wrong my body just has not snapped back.
Im also one of those people who has been seemingly damaged from abx or rather the herx and toxins.
My sinuses are screwed up with MCS and vertigo. If anyone has been following my posts I must sound like a broken record.
Yet when I go off them now I feel worse. Its almost like I am addicted to abx. How strange does that sound?

My days are less symptomatic every day. It is gradual but good.
I have had lyme for 8yrs and have been treated for the last 3yrs. I have improved from lying down constantly not doing anything but absolute necessities to being up and about all day. My personality flattened out-it was like I was not myself.
A lot of tormenting symptoms like freezing hands, blinded by glare, forgetting how to do things temporarily like make coffee, joint pain, numbness, getting out and worrying if enough energy to get home.
At this point I do have some fatigue, digestive problems and anxiety. But I feel good overall.(probably only a lymie would get that) I really am improving on a consistant basis. It is like the symptoms are slowly being shed. I am very grateful to be out of the hell stage, beyond the getting through the day stage, and getting back to being myself. Toughened and weathered or new and improved depending on how you look at it.
There are a lot of folks from the lymenet who are enjoying really good recovery. Don't always hear from them as they are off fighting new battles starting over.
I wish you the best.

I agree with that....we are hearing from the many that are still in the same boat as we are here. Those that are not in this boat are not frequenting this site so cannot add thier positive spin!
We need to remember this!!!! I can and does get better for many many people out there. I look forward to the day that I dont have to come back here! NO OFFENSE!!!!!!!!

No...NEVER normal....YET! But, only 2.5 months into treatment. It's literally hour to hour, up and down. I keep reading about cycles, I see no rhyme or reason to my symptoms. My LLMD explained to me that since I'm packing 4 infections, they all cycle at different times, who knows?
I too try to remember that those who are experiencing good recovery, are often not posting, that keeps me hopeful!

I feel guilty for saying this but I feel pretty normal now. I guess my lyme was responsive to ABX.
I was diagnosed in Nov. and was on amoxicillin for 60 days but that didn't knock it out completely. In my January blood test I still showed positive but we thought since I didn't have any symptoms that maybe it was resolving.
I went on ceftin 3 weeks ago because my April blood work from Quest and Imigen showed I still had lyme and I had started to exhibit symptoms (hip joint pain, brain buzz, and extreme irritability and emotionality).
Within 10 days of taking the ceftin my symptoms had become negligible and now I feel quite normal
I had blood work this morning and go back to my doctor next Tuesday to find out the results. I think they will be good.
What do you think? Am I out of the woods?

Its tought to say. I dont want to damn you but you might think you are well and then go through some life stress or stay up late one night and it will come back with a vengence.
Also alcohol for me and many other made it WORSE TIME 10.
I am convinced that if I did not drink every day...not to necesarrilly get drunk, but every day I would be WELL NOW>
I wish a doctor would have sit me down and told me. Hey buddy, if you keep drinking like this you will be worse then an alcoholic. You will be nearlly disabled.
Oh the guilt, oh the regret. But I have an addictive personality, what can I say?
