OK, I give up! I have googled it but cannot find "flagyl challenge".
What is it? Any information you can provide would be very appreciated. Thanks!!!

Flaygl challenge, is just lyme terminology - Flagyl is an abx. If you can withstand Flagyl (which is cyst busting, co-infection and even kills some parasites) w/o herxing and no increase in symptoms you have likely beaten Lyme. Read more posts in your other post.. Out of the woods..
You need to try Flagyl before considering yourself Lyme-free - that is what they are saying in your first post.

My LLMD has a remission challenge and a Lyme challenge.
For those patients who have positive WB's, but maybe aren't symptomatic, this challenge is used.
For those of us who have been treating and go two months symptom free on antibiotics,
The same challenge is used (except longer).
1500mg of flagyl on Mon.
Followed by 1500mg of biaxin on Tuesday.
If you herx, you either go into treatment, or keep on treating.
If you don't and you are challenging for remission, this protocol goes on for two months.
Is this the "challenge" you were referring to?

Bull ***** take this with a grain of salt.
But my results have been unorthidox.

I ahve been on and off flagyl for years - bacterial vaginosis and I cant say that i herxed on it but I have herxed on:
biaxin/ceftin combo rocephin rulide/bactrim doxy
but I tolerate flagy very well!!!!!!!!!
I dont know how I would tolerate during in a combo treatment though!?!?
Hmmmmmm...does this mean I am "cured" or remission - I can say for sure I am not cured or in remission!!

I tolerate Flagyl better than most of these other antibiotics, too. In fact, on my bad days when I'm dying, Flagyl is the only one I'll take.
And I just read it's carcinogenic in another post?

Tailz you should know that using a microwave is probablly 100 times more carcinogenic then the lonely Flagyl.
Ive said it before, I would rather have a tumor then Lyme. At least then you can SEE IT!!!!!
