Quick question... is there any harm using Chlorella while on ABx. I just started an aggressive round of orals and am having a bad herx, all neuro, and would like to detox. I will ask my doc on June 3rd but would like to know if people normally wait until after ABx treatment or detox during.

You can try, but chlorella detoxes mentals and not the neurotoxins

You should be trying to detox these out of the liver with lemon water, milk thistle, oil leave extract, detox baths etc

Are you detoxing the Lyme or the antibioitcs?
What do you mean by Detox? The only thing I've heard about detoxing for was alcohol-which people drink too much of. But you don't ingest Lyme-you ingest antibioitcs.
Bernie

ps- I have heard of people who fast in order to "cleanse" their system. Does this work for Lyme?

Drink plenty of fluids, natural lemon water is good, get plenty of sleep, stay alkaline, if you have access to glutathione that will help alot even though you may not feel better, take warm baths or showers (only if you dont have a PICC line)

Yeah, I'm certain she meant metals, LOL.

I detox with the abx. The best detox I've found is coffee enemas.

Second best is Epsom salt baths.

Those two make you feel better, but FIR saunas are very effective for removing toxins as well, but sometimes will actually make you feel worse.

I also have a rebounder to encourage lymph drainage.

Bernie, by detox we mean getting rid of toxins. Lyme itself causes an excess of toxins, but especially as we kill it off. Many of our symptoms are caused by the toxins rather than the Lyme itself.

If you have amalgam fillings it's probably best not to use Chlorella as it may pull mercury from the fillings.

Activated Charcoal has worked wonders for some if you can space it between your meds.

I love my Infra Red sauna.

My "detox" supplements:

Chlorella
MSM
Nutramedix Bubur, Pinella, Parsley

I drink a LOT of water and follow a more alkaline diet.

If your goal is to squelch the endotoxins and heat shock proteins that are dumped when the bacteria die, this is what you need:

12 - 15 capsules of activated charcoal taken a least 2 hours after and 2 hours before any meds, foods, supplements etc. If you get up in the middle of the night when nature calls, that's a good time.

Benadryl takes care of the heat shock proteins (which are actually worse than the endotoxins)

Extra vitamin C or even a vitamin C flush

Epsom salts baths/foot baths

If you are also infected with Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cpn), you might be experiencing some secondary porphyria. Depending on the type of porphyria, charcoal might help that too. Questran is more dependable, though, and glucose tablets and Smarties are a great quick-fix in between the Questran doses. Plus take plenty of sublingual B12 (methylcobabamin or hydroxocobalamin).

yes metals.
The mental part, well you're on your own with that one..haha!

Yes metals.
And like someone said here, no need to chelate if you still have fillings.

Best detox for me was lemon water, milk thistle, oil leave extract, apple cider vinegar (This one worked the BEST for me), baths and drink water, more water and when you've had too much water, drink more

2 charcoal tablets work okay for me 2 hours from any meds or supplements.

You can take them at 10 am and at 2 pm.

Burbur drops helps a little, too.
