Hi Everyone,

So Here I am back to all of the wonderful people who have helped me so much in the past. For the past new months I have been doing a new anti-lyme/anti-babesia regimen that is centered on IV Doxy. I have felt so good sometimes and it makes me think the end is in sight! Felt almost like a normal person.

The medications I've been taking are:
IV Doxy
Biaxin
Levaquin
Fluconazole
Nystatin
Malorone
Mepron (with the malarone)

However the last month of so my right ear has had this very loud pulsating (i.e. my pulse amplified) [Frown] sensation. I am wondering if it is some kind infection; such as yeast since the fluconazole and Nystatin don't seem to kill all the yeast. Some days I've had a little drainage of "white milky" stuff, but usually not anything at all.

I am afraid that the antibiotics which seem to be helping my other symptoms so well are causing me to get an ear infection by antibiotic-resistant organisms such as yeast. I really hate to stop antibiotics that are helping me, but this sensation is very iritating at times and always very disruptive of my concentration.

For those people who'd say "Tell your Doctor" I have and she basically has been saying "monitor it, and see what doesn't make it worse." So what would you guys do or advise? Has anyone had a similar situtation? I hate to quit the meds but the ear problem is really starting to affect my concentration. So should I just continue the saline nasal sprays or try something else? [confused]

Thanks so much for your advice, now, and in the past (I'm doing a lot better than just 6 months earlier)!

TK! [kiss]

I have a slow rhythmic 'swooshing' in my right ear that seems to correspond to increases in electromagnetic/microwave fields (which I've measured at times).

If my neighbor stands outside on his deck and uses his cell phone, for example, my right ear swooshes. Ironically, most of my symptoms were left-sided when this all started.

I'm testing positive for Lyme and babesia, though rifampin definitely does something inside my ears. Not sure what to tell you.

Inflammation in and near the ear will cause fluid to become trapped in the ear canal and cause this. I have this but it is slightly improved after starting IV antibiotics.

Electromagnetic fields can't cause "wooshing" fluid in your ear. It is the inflamtion.

I have had the swooshing/pulsing in my left ear quite a bit, and I think it gets worse when I herx, but overall it's a lot better after treatment.
