I seem to get a good response from taking activated charcoal in dealing with the weak/sick/toxic feeling and brain fog that I have alot of the time. It seems to work better than CSM for me. How much activated charcoal can you safely take?

My husband sometimes takes 12 - 15 at a time in the middle of the night. This timing allows him to avoid interference with medications, food, and supplements. When he's not taking charcoal, he takes a double dose of Questran (which actually works better most of the time). If we could figure out a way to fit either of those into his daytime schedule, he would take more in the day too. Besides the timing issue, a tendency toward constipation could be a concern.

I have found A/C to be amazing. It helps with many things.
I agree 100% it does help with that sick, toxic, foggy feeling, I can't believe I didn't know about this until recently when my LLMD suggested it for my son who was so sick on LD toxins from Flagyl and other meds he was hallucinating. It knocked it out. I was skeptical, but not anymore. This stuff is great!
My LLMD said to take 2 hours before and/or after any medications. Up to 4 capsules 4x's per day.
I did a lot of study recently regarding A/C and this may help answer all your questions, many good links also within this thread: http://tinyurl.com/6er75d

You can purchase it just about anywhere. It's hard to "screw up" the manufacturing process since all it is is activated charcoal.
You would be best served to buy from Vitacost probably. NSI would be fine, or Soure Naturals, or any of the major brands. You can read the reviews and see which one you want.
