Can anyone advise me as to the most effective garlic products are for Lyme? I hear so many names being thrown around but can't seem to keep it straight which ones are the best?
Is eating whole garlic on a regular basis just as effective?
Thanks, B

Curious on this one too. I've been throwing in heaping spoonfuls of minced garlic from a big tub that I bought at Costco in many of my meals (I love garlic so that parts easy). I know Dr. Zhang is big on garlic too.

I have read that raw garlic, eaten AFTER a meal, is the best way to absorb the allicin in it.
Cooked garlic loses allicin.
Correct me, anyone, if I am wrong.

I think there are 2 chemicals in the garlic that have to be crushed & mixed together in order for the healing properties to be active.
This chemical combination is only active for about 10 minutes or so. Therefore, any processed garlic or supplement may have limited health benefits.
Cooked garlic has no health benefits as far as I know.
Some people use freeze dried garlic. If you google that, you can find some products made from freeze dried garlic. This may be beneficial but I can't say from experience.
Expensive brands of garlic supplements were of no use to me.
Some people can have garlic allergies - so, you have to proceed with caution.
Seems like the freeze dried garlic or crushed fresh garlic may be useful as a remedy, though. Some people have put the crushed fresh garlic in capsules to avoid the strong taste.

Please do a search here on garlic. I posted about it many times. Freeze dried ORGANIC only. Don't buy the garlic from China. It's already toxic. I think I cured my Lyme and all co-infections mostly with freeze dried garlic. 2-3 capsules 3/4 a day, dissolved in lukewarm water, taken between meals, or the capsules whole right after the meal. Not before and not during the meal, if capsules.
Slowly start to reduce the amount, to titration, so that you do not lose your friends.
Garlic is anti-everything.
But read up on it by searching here.
Take care.

What about juicing Garlic in a Champion juicer and putting it into capsules? What about making a tincture this way? How can it be preserved and stablized?
