Hello Memebers, Been dealing with tick-borne for 16 years now and it just keeps getting worse. Back in January I tested positive for Bartonella, now I had a biopsy performed on a swollen painful Lymph node that came back positive for Mycoplasma Fermentan.

Besides going after my Lymph nodes I have some serious GI problems for months now. I was prescribed Flagyl at first and then Bactrim, Flagyl helped with one of the GI problems but Bactrim has not helped at all.

I have some serious stomach issues going on and it`s not letting up. Can anyone tell me what they have used for treatment of Bartonella and Mycoplasma that was effective?

I have told my LLD that Bactrim was not helping me, I`ve been on it for over a month. He will not make a change. Any information will be greatly appreciated. God Bless. POP

Biaxin (macrolide abx - generic name Clarithromycin ) hits both. My (ILADS) LLMd says it kills Bart (it did in me - took one year) mycoplasma (needs long term treatment anyway with macrolides or tetra's) and it kills Lyme. Or you could try Doxy or Mino, they do kill some strains of bart and mycolplasma too.

Although Erythromycin is listed for Bart here, Biaxin is of the same family and it worked for me: http://www.lymeinfo.net/coinfectionarticle.html

Fermentans is resistant to Zithromax and Biaxin. I recommend Factive, Levaquin or Cipro. Any of them can be used in combination with a tetracylcine antibiotic.

Rifampin is great for Bart.
