A friend of mine was on valcyte and minocycline. She did fine.

I was on valcyte alone (for 9 months). Now I'm on doxycyline. I believe the doctor will be adding in valtrex while I'm on the doxy.

Best,
Timaca

I take antibiotics, herbal antibiotics, anti-malarials, herbal antimalarials, and---
an herbal extract LOMATIUM, which acts antiviral for me. I don't know if it would kill all viruses, but it stops my herpes I simplex lip sores cold.

Well I am taking minocycline, moxifloxacin, malarone, alinia, artemisia, HH capsules, oregano oil and olive leaf extract.
I suppose adding Valtrex would be a bit overkill :|

I was on 4800mg...yes, 4800mg of acyclovir a day for years w/no problems...I'd think that would be an overkill.

Didn't help lyme (didn't know I had it) but didn't have any cold sores then.

add vfend or diflucan also for systemic yeast.

won't get better with any yeast in your system and it can't really be tested for correctly.
i did not go into remission until i took the
vfend for 3 mon ths after abx.

Hi.

I took valcyte with malarone/zith.

Valcyte with malarone/biaxin.

Valcyte with doxycycline.

It did not interact with any of these (for me).

Hugs,

Geneal

My LLMD won't Rx antivirals for me even though my EBV is very high. Will I still get better?

lauraj~

Did you ask your LLMD why he won't treat the EBV?

The symptoms for chronic viral infections (like EBV) and lyme are the same. You can't tell the difference between the two by the symptoms.

You might want to do some reading at www.hhv-6foundation.org. You also might want to get tested for HHV-6 at Focus Diagnostics lab.

There is a conference on CFS and HHV-6 in Baltimore starting Friday. I'll post after the conference if anything is of interest.

Best,
Timaca
