Don't know if this has been posted yet, but I was thrilled to see this.
The documentary Under Our Skin now making national news!
I have seen the documentary, I hope most of you have now too.
Mandy was the very sick girl having seizures in the documentary and literally her heart stops from a herx in the documentary, remember? Eventually she does gets well. She doesn't even look the same now, this is amazing!!
I have to say, I was disappointed at the "deer tick" response and "wooded areas"... this was not answered correctly..ticks are NOT just where deer are..they need to film a nearby field where I live..no deer...all ticks! And neither corrected the news reporter when he said 20,000 new cases per year. UGH!!!!! This was a moment to educate big time...now people who live in suburban areas without deer think they are safe - they aren't! 20,000 new cases per year..WRONG! Bummer! Oh, I wish this had been answered better!
BUT....this is what this documentary needs...National attention!
You won't believe what Mandy looks like now! For those of you who have only seen the "trailer" she was the woman having seizures and doctor's told her "she was attractive and obviously not getting enough attention". Does not even look like her...she got well...awesome

Wow. I saw the film trailer last year and was so upset to see Mandy suffer.
This interview replaces that with much hope and encouragement! Thank you for posting this and thank you to all who worked on this most enlightening project.

Can I view the full length documentary of "Under Our Skin" online? If so, does someone have the link? I really want to see it.

VERY VERY impressive clip. I did see the documentary when it was showing in NYC. Mandy, Andy and many of the others from the documentary were in attendance including many of the LLMD's.
We did have a question and answer session at the end, but this clip between the two of them was much more impressive. Very guarded so as not to upset the other side, but to make a STRONG push on our side.
Thank you so much for sharing.

Cannot be viewed online - If you want a DVD they don't want it "advertised" (hope I didn't just advertise it)- p/m me.
Lymetoo...I know, I cannot believe that is really her!! WOW! She had bells palsy, slurred a lot, was very child like (I thought) from the LD affecting her brain.. just amazing Dr. J is obviously a great LLMd - he said her nervous system was extremely sensitive and anything set it off (that is me to a "T") I just have a very different nuero case than hers, still anything sets it off. Gives me hope.
For those that want a copy of under our skin: Go to the open eye pictures website. Contact them via email and they will send you a link wher you can purchase a stripped down version (just the DVD) for $40.
I definitely recomend it for everyone here. Amazing documentary.

I haven't got to see the film yet but it is being shown July 26th in downtown Austin, Tx at the Alamo Draft House! I already bought tickets for me and hubby (10 bucks each) and my chiropractor, his two associates, his secretary and wife are going as well. I'm sending an invite to my regular doctor too.

I saw the film on Tuesday in Washington, DC and thought it was excellent. I highly recommend purchasing the DVD and sharing it with family, friends and most importantly the medical community in your area.
The film does a good job showing how disabling and devasting this disease can be, as well as the political agenda behind those at the Infectious Disease institutes and their motives tied to the insurance industry.
It also offers hope to those who have been suffering for so long.

Film Screening of "Under Our Skin" Lyme Disease Documentary Wednesday, July 16, 7-8:45 pm A dramatic tale of microbes, medicine and money, this eye-opening film investigates the untold story of Lyme disease, one of the most misunderstood and controversial illnesses of today. Difficult to test accurately, tens of thousands of people go undiagnosed -- or misdiagnosed with such conditions as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, autism, MS and ALS. Each year many of these patients are told that their symptoms are 'all in their head.' Following the stories of patients and physicians as they battle for their lives and livelihoods, the film brings into focus a haunting picture of the U.S. healthcare system and its ability to cope with a silent terror. Film was an Audience Choice Award Finalist at the Tribeca Film Festival. Q&A following the film. Refreshments served. Reservations strongly recommended.
