I am currently taking antibiotics for Lyme, but I cannot take them for long due to pressure in my head. It is not a headache, but I truly feel that my brain might explode. I can tolerate the ABX for about three days and then I start feeling the pressure. It feels like a muscle spasm or cramp that will not release. Last night I felt a pulsing sensation and then with each one I felt numbness in my face and toes. Is this a herx? [bonk]

Also, I have pain in my heel that hurts whenever I walk. It is a burning type pain I am assuming that it is nerve related.

Thank you for your help!

I am taking Minocycline. I know this has to be herx related, but I am afraid that something else is going on in my noggin.

Sounds like a herx to me!!!!!!!

Trout [Wink]

PS...I only stopped my abx occassionally....maybe cutting back to half of your prescription would be better? (Ask LLMD)

Why? You're killing off something that has to be killed at some point..the question is..are you making it stronger and resistant to the abx you are using currently.

i had terrible head pressure for some time. it is the worst symptom by far. im sorry you are going through that.

it feels like your brain is just too big for your skull! horrible feeling! my llmd said it was due to swelling of the brain.

diamox a drug which helps with brain swelling really helped me. please ask your LLMD about this as a possible treatment. hope you feel better soon!

I have the head pressure as well (it seems to come and go, but used to be constant). Feels like there's air in my head and it's about to pop like a balloon. And since it's so full it makes you feel lightheaded and woozy and faint-like.

It'll get better. It takes time though.
