Has anyone else gotten recurring, migrating rashes

that hit both sides of the body at the same time?

Every 4-8 weeks, I get a bi-lateral rash. First

time it was chest/shoulders, second time it was

ankles/shins, third time was my sides, now it is

my thighs.

1) Always hits both sides of my body at the same

time (indicates systemic?)

2) VERY sensitive to hot water. Baths and showers

make me want to rip my skin off. During the day

it itches from time to time, but nothing like the

hot-water exposure.

Has anyone seen this? And what might it signify.

I have not yet had any treatment for Lyme but have

many symptoms and am currently trying to get

treated.

Thanks,

Bob

Not at the same time for me. I had a rash, also itchy, very much like shingles, but mostly centered in the small of my back.

About 3-4 weeks later the same kind of rash appeared on my torso - front side, mostly centered and little more on left side.

Doctor has no idea what it was - but now that we suspect Lyme - I have read here that other people

have had this, but I think they attribute it to a co-infection.

Maybe someone here can tell us which one?

Be sure to get your test done by Igenex - a lab that does the COMPLETE Western Blot.

YES! I have never heard of anyone else who has, and when it happened to me, years ago, I was apparently a fascinating medical specimen! (nobody had seen my kind of rash).

In the summer of '93, I broke out in 'patches' that were slightly raised, warm and itchy that gradually were all over me.

When one would appear, say on my left wrist, within about 20 minutes, another just like it would appear on my left wrist. It went like that all over my body.

The patches would last on average 3 weeks.

While I had these, I felt like death. So, so sick and feverish with sore throats.

Of course, nobody could see what I had (lyme disease, duh) despite skin biopsies and blood tests.

A had a second episode of those patches later in the summer of '93 again.

Then in '96 and '97 I suffered bouts of hives that would also be symmetrical on both sides.

So, I now assume they were EM's and/or to do with coinfections.
