I had to see my regular M.D. because I had shingles in Feb. and now it seems I am getting it back again.

I told him about all my other symptoms (all of which he has heard of before).

In the past my lyme test only showed on positive band. He wants me to do a month of doxy and see how I feel.

He does not even want to bother with another lyme test (I mentioned being tested by Igenex).

I thought I would get a few opions here before I started. I have to wait until I finish the treatment for shingles anyway.

Any thought?? Could it help or do I need to do arythomician (or somthing eles) with it?

Hi Cat--

Doxi is a good first ABX to take -
It has a wide spectrum so it will kill
lots of germs -

Make sure NOT to take doxi with Dairy-
Vitamins- Minerals --
these will make Doxi useless -

wait at least 2 hours after Doxi dose
to consume Any of the above -

Also Citrus and Cranberries can cause
Photo Toxic reaction so Dont eat them at all-

Thank you for those comments. I did not even think about doxy reacting with food or vitamins.

My doctor did mention something about burning. Iam Irish, so Iam already very faired skinned and burn easily.

I was put on doryx (same thing pretty much as doxy) when I first found out I had lyme. I was on 100 mg twice a day and my symptoms improved dramatically but than I started getting sick again: even sicker than before starting the medicine. Which was the herx I guess. Than switched to a new regimen including a bunch of abx. I have just started doryx again now but 400 mg a day rather than 200 with levaquin malarone art and plaquenil. I think you should push for at least 300 mg a day and see if you feel worse. If you do its a good chance that it is Lyme.
