My 6 year old just began IV treatment with Rocephin. She has being given 28 days of treatment. I would like to hear from anyone knowledgeable with this medication and what the typical length of treatment is. My daughter was on Amoxicillin 3 months, taken off and relapsed after 20 days. Went back on Amox. for 2 1/2 months but never has gotten back to a healthy state and was actually going backwards.

There are many here that have taken Rocephin IV.

From the best I can tell some do ok, yet many relapse after treatment. Some Dr's give oral's abx w/ Rocephin to increase the effectiveness.

Has your daughter been tested for any co-infections as this can complicate treatment.

Also the book Cure Unknow talks alot about Rocephin.
