i got my bill today for all the igenex testing. $603!!! oh man...
they stamped on the bill (which i already paid with my plastic) that they are a non-provider.
so i guess that means that bc/bs won't pay right?
i'm going to get killed when that bill hits our master card....

I know of a couple of people on this forum that had bc/bs reimburse them for the test(s).
I think it depends on your state and plan.
Hang in there.

the receipt (it's not a "bill")from Igenex means they do not submit to insurance... it is for you to send it in for reimbursement to your insurance company.

randi,
when i tested 1st time igenex; i paid it all then submitted to iowa bcbs to pay.
igx, calif. is OUT OF NETWORK, so they sent it to BLUE CROSS CALIFORNIA!! after 3 months i got back a measly 34 or $43 dollars out of $180.
good luck!
KEEP COPIES OF EVERY BILL AND CLAIM YOU SUBMIT TO THEM EACH TIME!...start a file for thigns like this so you can stay on top of things!

I didn't have any luck getting reimbursed, but did go through literally months and months and months of...submit this bill. Now submit these records. Now submit this record......ad nauseum, until I got "NO".
I hate BC/BS.

I did not submit to my BCBS, I chose to "bite the bullet" instead. I was afraid it might wave a big red flag to them, and in the end I wanted to make sure they covered my abx's, since I knew that would be so much more money in the long run!
