The chest pain I have is constant and on the

left side, it only goes away when I lay down at

night and I just started feeling this numbness in

my head all the time with dizziness. Are these

common symptoms of Lyme? The chest pain radiates

down my left arm and into my left hand, it never

goes away. I just started Ceftin(generic) 2 wks

ago.

Hi Stefanie,

I am so sorry that you are having troubles.

Yes, Tickborne diseases certainly can cause symptoms that mimic what you are describing ...

HOWEVER...

Chest pain is something that we don't mess around with!

Please consult your LLMD as soon as possible. You may want to go in for a full cardiac work-up to make certain that these symptoms are not indicators of heart trouble.

TBDs can and do cause very severe heart conditions, so we always want to rule out those possibilities, OK?

MANY will tell you that they too had bad chest pain that turned out to be nothing...

However, it is best to rule on the side of caution when dealing with the heart!

My best,
Melanie

Thanks Melanie, oh I have already done the whole

heart check and stress test and my heart is fine,

I still have the pain even after being reassured.

What about the numbing feeling in my head, thats

a really weird one. I have an MRI as well.

Yup, Numb cold brain, went to the ER for
that one. Yup, Chest pains, went to ER a couple

times for that one. I swear everytime I'll never go back to the ER, but I get freaked out and think I'm

dying every once in awhile. Better to be safe than sorry. Sara

Yes - that is how my LD started almost exactly, then spread from there.

Been there done that, my symptoms as well....everyting ck'ed out ok w/ my heart, MRI clear. MRA showed some odd vessel formations that would indicate vasculitis.
