Just curious if anyone has carotid artery or other artery stenosis/blockage associated with Lyme's.
Dr.'s have no reason why a relatively young healthy person would have this. I've read that Lyme or coinfections can cause hypercoagulability of blood.
For this and numerous other Lyme-related symptoms, I'm going to see Dr. B. in S.Jersey.

Consider this drug:
Pentoxifylline
is the International Nonproprietary Name of a drug sold by Aventis under the name Trental.
It is used to treat intermittent claudication resulting from obstructed arteries in the limbs, and vascular dementia.
Pentoxifylline improves blood flow through blood vessels and therefore helps with blood circulation in the arms and legs (e.g. intermittent claudication).
It also helps prevent strokes, can be used in managing sickle cell disease and improves blood flow to the brain.
Pentoxifylline has also been used to treat nausea and headaches in the mountains (altitude sickness).
And much much more! Research it with relationship to T cells esp.
Like everything...it maybe good AND in some respects, bad.
Bb damages the cells that line the blood vessels.
A "patch" is made...calcium + oxidized (free radical damaged LDL) = "lousy" cholesterol. HDL is the "good" cholesterol. We want that one High...H = Healthy body.
About a year ago there was a report on how HIGH DOSES of a cholesterol lowering drug actually reversed the damage...the plaques in months CLEARED.
Why? These pathogens need amino acids (cholesterol) to build THEIR cell walls too. Our cell walls are also made of amino acids. So up goes OUR cholesterol level. The bacteria do this by triggering gluconeogenesis. When our blood sugar level drops (it is always fluctuating), the body will then use glucose stored in fats (stored as glycogen). But along with that, the amino acids are released too. Now we AND the pathogens have glucose and amino acids.
Think of going on a diet...what do we lose FIRST? Fat, right?
Now...the body can't use glucose by itself...the liver has to add a phosphate...
I'm gonna leave it at that for now...But also consider Prozac because serotonin locks onto sialic acid (which is a component of biofilm) and there is a serotonin - phosphate group transfer - link as well.
ARB inhibitors look to be more beneficial than ACE inhibitors.
But there is a catch, it looks like they INCREASE COX-2 which is already up (!)...and far infrared is trying to trigger the *protective* COX-1 route -> PGE-1 -> HO-1.
But into your search engine, type in:
cholesterol drug reverses damage
So...an ARBS inhibitor (not ACE) + Pentoxifylline (ideally with theophilline and caffeine)+ Prozac (serotonin binds with sialic acid -which is in biofilm)?
Just some "food for thought".
My personal preference is to help our body out by activating COX-1.
Which looks like it may destroy Bb and
once the infection is gone, IN TIME...the body can heal itself and repair a lot of the damage that was done.
I am very hopeful we have found a way (far infrared). The strength of the machine (# of LEDs), timing, areas where applied...all of these factors and more may have to be worked out.
It does look to take very high doses of meds with potential serious side effects to do the same. My hope is that far infrared will be safer.

I wonder if allicin would serve nicely here? It can clear the arteries and offers many benefits to the body and is also any antispirochetal and can help destroy biofilm.
I don't have the answer, but just wonder if allicin - or olive leaf extract - or curcumin - might be of help for clearing the arteries. the side effects are not as great as with some other agents - they have good benefits against infections (allicin and OLE) or as an antioxidant (curcumin).
Green Tea . . . Hawthorn . . . Ajuna - I wonder about other things that might be of help to the artery walls.

And those little RED seeds (which is what we eat...for those who have never tried them) taste DELICIOUS.
